On Thursday 2 April 2026 we spent the day pedalling spinning bikes for 10 hours straight at Gorey Shopping Centre! We started at 9am and soon had over 50 members and passers-by up on one of four bikes pushing as fast as they could for 30 minutes – some ever did longer and some came back for more later in the day! With the cash and online donations raised on the day, Active Tribe Courtown matched the funds and presented the cheque to Futures In Mind recently.
Futures In Mind provides free child and adolescent Therapy services at its centres in Gorey and Arklow. Entirely volunteer-led, the organisation is funded primarily by donations and the revenue generated through its two charity shops — the lifeblood of the service. Futures In Mind also delivers vital mental health and suicide prevention training such as QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), which equips members of the public with the tools to recognise suicide warning signs, intervene effectively, and connect individuals to the right support.
The charity supported over 150 people through its face-to-face counselling services in the first quarter of 2026, with clients ranging in age from 5 to 75 — underscoring the breadth of need across the community.
Here’s the last 20 seconds of our 10 hour cycle with Emmajane, Réiltín, Declan and David finishing off the day!
